Classic Porsche 911

Our Porsche is a 1979 classic aircooled 3.2 SC. For people who are into old 911′s it may just ring a bell, as it used to be owned by the late Steve O’Rourke, manager of Pink Floyd. The old F1 engineer we talked to reckoned that it has lived on tracks most of it’s life and has aledgedly been driven by Nick Mason and Dave Gilmour at various times.

Old Porsche 911s have a legendary reputation for biting the foolhardy, so you’d think that putting one to work on a frozen lake would be just crazy. In fact, all our guests are amazed at the car and once the famous Porsche driving technique is instilled, people start to realise just why it’s not only the world’s best selling sports car, but also probably one of the most successful racing and rallying designs in history.
