The latest Porsche 911 for ice driving in Sweden

Good air cooled Porsche 911′s are becoming hard to find these days, especially the type of competition prepared car we use at Ice Driver. Our Ice Driving Porsche 911′s are not simple road cars, but specially prepared racing cars, modified for life on the ice. So when we were offered a really nice ex-Porsche UK Open car, we didn’t hesitate.
It’s just emerged from the paint shop this week, before being transported to our technical partners, Scooby Clinic, for the final preparation before it’s journey to Sweden, so Porsche Open Racing regulars won’t recognise it now. Previously, it was in classic Gulf colours and was raced by Anthony Oliver in recent years and maintained by Brian Robinson to a high standard. We’ll be making a whole series of small but importanyt changes to the car before you see it again, sliding sideways across a frozen lake in the Swedish Wilderness….

A few years ago I purchased a 1984 Porsche 911 Factory widebody it is option code M491. I purchased the letter of authenticity from Porsche ;LSD, turbo suspension, brakes, seats and widebody whale tail and front spoiler a proper built 911
1984-89 are the last of the hand built 911′s. This car has soul. I purchased a concours M491 and only upgraded the chip with a Steve Wong performance chip. It is modern enough to have fuel injection but yet I can maintain it. It’s the best of the old and the new worlds.
    I always enjoy 911 Porsche people. Curtolson2003@yahoo.com
