The Surface
The most important part of Ice Driver and probably the thing we get asked about the most – the surface. It’s a frozen lake, not a forest track or frozen airfield circuit.
This doesn’t mean, however, that there’s a vast expanse of ice for you to go mad on like a supermarket car park. The ice has a covering of snow and a wide track is created using snow blowers to manufacture a race circuit made from ice. The track is around 2 kms long and has a combination of long sweeping bends designed not just to have fun, but to teach drivers racing lines, how to slide the cars and how to study the corners, just like a real racing circuit. You’ll only drive on our high performance World Rally Championship studded tyres, not normal road studs for maximum performance.
We pride ourselves on not just giving our guests a great time, but sending you away a better, more confident driver. No matter what your level of experience, from a newly qualified driver to a world motorsport champion, you can learn something here.
